ICC Cricket World Cup 2011: Top 3 Umpires To Look Out For

The ICC World Cup 2011 will have 12 umpires from the ICC Elite Panel, along with 6 six referees from other countries play different test.

The list of elite group is composed by Daryl Harper, Rod Tucker, Täuffelen Simon and Steve Davis of Australia, Ian Gould of England, Billy Bowden and Tony Hill of New Zealand, Aleem Dar and Asad Rauf of Pakistan, South Africa Marais Erasmus, Asoka de Silva Sri Lanka, and Billy Doctrove of the West Indies.

The other six referees that you get to advertise their products during the World Cup are Australia's Bruce Oxenford, Richard and Nigel Llong Caldera Municipality of England, and Tarapore Amiesh Shaver Saheb of India, and Kumar Dharmasena of Sri Lanka.

Selecting the top 3 arbitrators from the list of 18 was not an easy task, but after much deliberation, which have focused on:

1. Simon Tauffel

Born in Australia Simon Tauffel, 39, won the best prize of the ICC referee for five years on the trot between 2004 and 2008.

Taufel who played club cricket as a player fairly fast, Cammeray ultimate representation of DC, in 1990-91, began to arbitration in first-class cricket, 1995. His first international match as a referee was in 1999 when Australia hosted Sri Lanka in Sydney.

From June 2010, Täuffel had officiated in 61 tests, 152 ODIs (becoming the youngest referee to log in 100 ODIs, in the process) and 22 international T20. Tauffel has become known for its high level of accuracy in an era dominated by cricket electronic aids, including references (UDR).

2. Aleem Dar

Despite a brush with controversy early in his international career, Aleem Dar is here to be the first to break referee Täuffelen maintained in the ICC award Best umpire Pakistan 41 years cattle born in 2009. In fact, some people feel it is better than Täuffelen.

Dar played first class cricket played in Pakistan between 1986 and 1998, the last representing Pakistan Railways. This seemed Waqar Yunus became the first referee Pakistan to join the ICC's elite panel in 2004. Currently involved with the series of ash between Australia and England, June 4, 2010, Dar had been in 62 tests, 127 ODIs and 17 interneationals T20.

3. Billy Bowden

Forty-seven years old, Billy Bowden of New Zealand is also a former player who had to stop playing because of his arthritic condition. Bowden began his international career in 1995 when he officiated in his first ODI. He was promoted to Elirte CPI Group in 2002.

By the way, Bowden had the record for the youngest umpire to officiate 100 ODI for a brief to Täuffelen broke the record. Bowden is extremely popular among folowers the game, at least not signaling his comic style. You can not tell that he presents his "crooked finger of doom" like a question mark to indicate a batter out, not on account of any whim, but due to arthritis. On June 4, 2010, Bowden had officiated in 61 tests, 143 ODIs and 18 international T20.

ICC World Cup 2011 - Team India likely

The ICC ODI World Cup start, 7 months from now, February 19, 2011, when the giants of cricket, India and Bangladesh will meet at the Stadium of Sher-e-Bangla Mirpur in Bangladesh.

In this first of a series of articles on the biggest sporting events in the Indian subcontinent, I will list 23 players who will likely consist of the Indian team world cup.

Why am I naming the Indian team ahead of the rest? Because India are the favorites for the World Cup, especially when it co-hosting it with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

These are the 23 players I think will make the cut for Team India: MS Dhoni (captain and wicket keeper), Sehwag (vice-captain), Gambhir, Tendulkar, Yuvraj, Raina, Jadeja, Harbhajan, Zaheer, Nehra, Praveen, Sreesanth, Yusuf Pathan, Dinesh Kartik, Rohit Sharma, Saurabh Tiwari, Mithun , Mishra, Ishant Sharma, Kohli, Chawla and Ojha.

All the usual suspects are here, but some omissions could cause a comment. For example, I excluded Irfan Pathan. Those who have any doubt in this regard should refer to this article, I wrote a few days ago.

This is a list of 23 probable, of which the last 14 get selected. At 14, we are certain to see the following players: Dhoni, Sehwag, Gambhir, Tendulkar, Yuvraj, Raina, Harbhajan, Zaheer, Nehra and Rohit Sharma. So I am left with the task of selecting more than 4. And they Dinesh Kartik, Mithun Abhimanyu, Yusuf Pathan and Sreesanth.

Dinesh Kartik Why? He comes into my computer as a specialist batsman, but do not know why Dhoni does not let you have windows. Probably, Dhoni is the field behind the trunks of a place to shout encouragement to his players and gardeners. Returning to Dinesh Kartik, has been around long enough to be able to handle pressure situations, as well demonstrated in the Asia Cup. It is also an agile fielder.

Mithun has, in the first test in Sri Lanka, justifies the faith placed in him by the selectors. It is a hard probe, and Cricinfosite, we believe that it will go from strength to strength.

Recently, Sreesanth made his return to India team after a long hiatus. It's a really talented player who needed to make adjustments in attitude, which seems to have understood. As to the way a good player is just a game back in shape.

Yusuf Pathan makes qualifying ahead of Jadeja. Jadeja is a young player, but the fight against Yusuf Pathan has the advantage over him in pure attitude. Jadeja lacks the brute force that can bring in Pathan slog off. Also his style of delivery with a high-arm action ensures that your bowling has a lower trajectory and perhaps a little more difficult to save for performances, but Jadeja has often proved more than useful player.

Ishant Sharma, Ojha, Saurabh Tiwary Mishra and almost reached its goal, but did not. But surely you must have noticed the biggest omission from my list - vir € ~ Kohli. For example Kohli i would have meant abandoning the 14 Rohit Sharma. But ask, what is the most stylish batsman? In addition, Rohit is capable of rolling a total share of acquisitions in the turns, consistently, as it has done on many occasions.

But Kohli can find some consolation in the fact that this is only 14 for the first game. The World Cup is going to last a month and a half. Injuries and poor performance could lead to some changes, and Kohli could soon be back on the team.

ICC World Cup 2011 Theme Song is here at last

The theme of the ICC 2011 World Cup tournament has been released ...

I have stated from the outset that cricket and Bollywood has a very close relationship, and this song shows just that. For the ICC 2011 World Cup song has been composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy (SEL), a trio of Bollywood music creators.

For the benefit of the uninitiated, SEL include Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa, who has been a leading producer of music for Bollywood films in the last decade.

His best and most successful work has been heard (and seen) in movies such as Mission Kashmir, Dil Chahta Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Bunty Aur Babli, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Taare Zamin Par, Wake Up Sid, My name is Khan Karthik Karthik and Housefull called, among many others.

The song is titled "From Ghuma Ke", a call for players to give everything they have, in other words, "Sock to them," an apparent reference as to the competitiveness of the sport and the desire to win.

Three versions of the song have been rendered in Hindi, Bengali and Sinhala, the language of the co-hosts of the tournament, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

The song was released on 31 December on several radio networks, plus ESPN STAR Sports, who have the ICC World Production and Rights Issue.

Hope you like the composition, because with 50 days for the tournament, which will be heard this song over and over again, and that's the understatement of 2011, the first day of the year!
