Who will win the 2011 Cricket World Cup

Guys, it's time to pick the favorites for the 2011 Cricket World Cup. The countdown for the mega event has begun, and everyone, including cricket legend has begun to pick their favorites to win the World Cup. According to the legends of the game in India is the favorite to win the World Cup.

In my opinion, India is the favorite to win this World Cup, despite being contenders for the coveted trophy. One of the main reasons for the likely success of India is the fact that they are playing before a home crowd. These large events like the World Cup brings a lot of pressure on the players. The title of being the favorite is added to the existing pressure on local public expectations. Indifferent form of their best batsman Yuvraj Singh days could also hurt the chances of India. Moreover, their main batsman Sachin Tendulkar will be desperate to win this World Cup to have at least one major trophy under his belt before he retires from cricket. You can see Sachin Tendulkar or otherwise hesitant when approaching a major milestone. He has never appeared in a World Cup winning team despite offering in five tournaments. This is likely to be the last World Cup Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar is known that there is always pressure on him. Any astute captain must be able to exploit this weakness of Sachin Tendulkar. Another issue would be the place to play Gautam Gambhir. Gautam Gambhir is better as a starter. He can not be effective in a day game in the middle order, and could disrupt the entire batting order. There is no clear idea yet about the combination is likely to be India. There's too much confusion with too many confusing options. But if some of the players in the batting line up hitting streak India, nothing could stop India from winning this year's World Cup.

Australian team has been chosen as the favorite at this time. They remain at the top of the leaderboard of the ICC. It also reduces expectations in the Australian team could work in your favor. What could go against the Australian team is the shape and future of some of their key players, including captain and star batsman Ricky Ponting. The results of ash may also influence their performance in the next World Cup. The Australian team is still a force to be considered and may peak at the right time to win the World Cup.

South Africa is my favorite to win the World Cup this time. They do not have the pressure of being favorites, and they are playing in front of your audience. The chokers tag that could really work in your favor this time. Because they have been labeled chokers, expectations can release any of them, and ultimately, to express any kind of pressure on them. They have one of the best batting line and better the best fast bowler in the world in its lineup. South Africa should be able to open his own trophy World Cup.

The increasingly unpredictable team, and the most unpredictable team in the tournament. Pakistan is not being given much chance by the experts, but you should Pakistan off at your own risk. Again, less expectation for this team can get to work in his favor. Moreover, not having to play before the home crowd, but playing at home as a condition can also be enhanced. You can not have the best team in the world on paper, but the team to beat any team and have players who can change the course of the game in any situation.

England has also emerged as a strong team in the recent past. You could repeat his success in the T20 edition of the World Cup one-day version, of course, with any luck at crucial stages of the tournament. England also has less pressure on them.

Sri Lanka is a good team, but will be under the pressure of playing before home crowds. Sri Lanka will not see all the way especially without Jaysurya in their ranks in the top of the order, and how indifferent Tilakratne Dilshan. The Jayawardana Sangarkara and are not very effective in the format of a day, especially in the absence of big hitters at the top Jaysurya. They have a line of bowling threatening anyone. I do not give much chance of Sri Lanka.

New Zealand is a team, the less said the better. They have some capable cricketers, but not as a unit. A couple of good games in the qualifiers could give them an outside chance of winning the trophy.

West Indian team of today is exactly the opposite of the Indian team that participated in the first three editions of this prestigious tournament. I do not see the West Indies to win this tournament, but cricket is funny old game.

Bangladesh has the capacity to upset a few teams in this tournament as it did to India in previous years. Ireland may also alter the big teams, and knocking out Pakistan in the early stages of the tournament in the last edition of the World Cup. The other teams, I think, are mere participants.
